The Old Coach House
Purton | Restoration & Kitchen Extension
A sympathetic modernisation of an 1820’s coach house, situated in a quiet village on the edge of the Cotswolds. Working closely with an architect, we managed this project from initial groundworks to the final decorative finishes.
Exterior: To ensure the new kitchen extension blended seamlessly with the original heritage building, we used Cotswold stone slip cladding over external blockwork. We also stripped back the old render on the original house, repointing the masonry to restore its historic character.
Interior: The project featured the installation of high end tumbled stone flooring from Beswick Stone and a full underfloor heating system.
Renovation: We rectified previous damp issues in the original property, caused by modern plaster. We stripped back the walls and re-lined them with traditional lime.
